Plants vs. Zombies: Armagarden - Sunther

Here he is at last: my mascot from back when I was Sergeant-Sunflower, redesigned for my dark AU of PvZ. I seem pretty content with this design... hopefully it'll stay that way, at least for a few months.

General Solarus is the only male member of the Sunflower species to ever exist. He was grown back in the early days of the ongoing war in 2009, making him one of the oldest Plants still alive. No one knows how a male Sunflower was created and why no more came after him, only females. He had been converted into a GW Unit during the early days of GW Unit production in mid 2013. Unlike his sisters which are always happy, cheerful and kind to everyone, he is pretty much the complete opposite: angry, rage-induced and often shouting like your average drill instructor. The Corn GW Units see him as a role model, inspired to be as angry and violent as he is. Try as they might, their rage pales in comparison to his. Despite his no-nonsense personality, his commanding and battling skills are legendary, making him soar through rank after rank in his years as a GW Unit.

In some battles, he unfortunately lost his life. This led to troops retrieving his corpse and revived with cybernetics. He didn't like this at all, he wanted to rest in peace. As much as they respected his wish, the Plants and humans couldn't afford to lose a remarkable strategist and fighter, so they had to keep resurrecting him. However in recent times as technology evolved, they were able to regrow some of his lost body parts, as well as use techno-organics instead of prosthetics in places they currently aren't able to regrow. Sunther has admittedly felt better and more alive with the usage of regrown parts and techno-organics, feeling his organic soul in full effect like in his younger days. Underneath his eyepatch lies not a scarred eye, but a techno-organic one. When in a bad mood, nobody can calm him down except for one: Sonya, his girlfriend.

He carries the same arsenal as his sisters, along with a unique ability given to him from one of his earlier cybernetic resurrections: the Solar Sword. Modifying the healing solar energy from one of his palms, he can turn it into a lethal blade of light.
